Jock Finlayson on Trudeau’s Emissions Cap
Our ICBA Chief Economist Jock Finlayson (with co-author and Fraser institute colleague Elmira Aliakbari) writes in TheHub.ca about the effect of the Trudeau Government’s proposed cap on oil and gas emissions. And, predictably, it will be devastating for the Canadian economy:
“…production cuts will translate into many tens of billions of lost economic output, fewer high-paying jobs across the energy supply chain and in the broader Canadian economy, and a significant drop in government revenues.”
So, exactly the opposite of what Canadians need.
