👷 ICBA is proud to support our industry partners’ new Roadbuilding and Heavy Construction safety program!
🚧 As safety is an essential component of our industry’s culture, the BC Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association, in partnership with the Alberta Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association, and the Construction Industry Training Network, are excited to introduce Road Ready BC – the brand-new BC-based adaptation of the established Road Safety Training System, which was developed by the ARHCA.
🦺 Road Ready BC has been created for industry, by industry, to improve employees’ ability to identify hazards, manage risk and reduce incidents.
The program is made up of 24 modules covering key information on:
· OHS legislation
· the common hazards on a worksite
· the importance of hazard awareness and controls
· industry terminology
· best practices, and
· safe work processes across the roadbuilding and heavy construction specialties.
All 24 modules contain top-quality videography, graphics, and animation and references to current British Columbia legislation and industry best practices. The course includes real life scenarios for better learner engagement with the material. More than 60 subject matter experts across Alberta and British Columbia have contributed their time and expertise to ensure that Road Ready BC is a best-in-class safety awareness program.
