That’s why ICBA’s Electrical Safety Course aims to provide a starting point for workers, supervisors and safety officers to understand the basics of electrical safety.

The session will connect participants with an overview of the regulation requirements and related safety requirements associated with electrical safety. The class will introduce information relative to lockout, electrical cord management, required qualifications for electrical work, arc flash and specialized protective equipment.

  • Definitions and information regarding low voltage and high voltage systems
  • The 7 steps to electrical safety
  • Limits of approach to high voltage power lines,
  • The hazards associated with arc flash
